Shannon Wollack and Brittany Zwickl of LA-based interior design firm Life.Style. are all about bold statements. Bright colours often used in large doses, graphic tiles and shiny brass make for some sexy spaces that are fun and dramatic. The bathroom above is everything and then some.

Glen Iris House

This post is for the folks who have commented lately that we’ve been too many posting been-there-done-that, white houses lately. This house has accents of turquoise/mint green in almost every room and I absolutely love it. Fresh and fun and paired with some red and black it is HOT. Thank you Nest Architects for showing us how to do colour.

Chez Marie-Sixtine

Located at 5 rue de Charonne in Paris is fashion brand Marie-Sixtine‘s flagship boutique, creative workshop, showroom, and above it all, their highly-exclusive chic hideaway called Chez Marie-Sixtine. One of the most beautiful apartments I have ever seen in pastels and greys, so soothing and inviting. Except I don’t think I could ever leave that bedroom. EVER. Doherty Design Studio

As many of you will know I’m in the throes of organising a bathroom renovation. Searching for inspiration, planning, sourcing. I have so many images in my inspiration files I thought I’d share a few. Although my heart is set on a boho, vintage vibe I’m equally drawn to clean lined, contemporary bathrooms. They always look so fresh and fabulous… and I’m finding that sourcing the look, particularly online, is so much easier which is really important when you’re time poor like I always seem to be.
