Wake me up when Monday is over. No go away. I’m serious. I want to stay under the covers and slip back into my dream. The one where I live in a small but perfectly formed beach house in Portugal. Simple and stylish, layers of texture and colours of the sea. A wonderful dream where there are never any Mondays, never any Mondayitis. A dream designed by Vera Iachia of course.
If you can’t run away with me to Portugal (see previous post) then take a colour pill and watch that Mondayitis fade away. Yummie photographs by the über talented Lucas Allen. His portfolio is the best medicine.
It is about colour and pattern, fabrics and finishes, detail and layering. It is a fresh and vibrant twist on traditional and classic. If the bleached out, overexposed, white, black and wood of Scandi design is leaving you wanting more then drink in the designs of Ashley Whittaker. (And even more in Kim’s previous post.)
A casually elegant family retreat at Palm Beach, Sydney by Adelaide Bragg & Associates. Hues of blue and green like the ever changing ocean, organic textures and crisp white finishes update this 1950’s home. Beautiful, relaxed and classic.
I have another girly pad for you by Vancouver’s The Cross Design. This one is a 1200 sq ft. condo located in the heart of Yaletown designed to be kid friendly. But it’s so white! I guess in this case bleach is your friend. LOL (It was featured in a Christmas issue of Canadian House & Home hence the slightly festive decor). It’s so freaking pretty, and I totally love the art and chandelier in the dining room.
