Love the vibe in this home designed by L.A. based designer Barbie Palomino. Some dark paint choices make it moody, with furnishings that give it a groovy, mid-century feel. I dig all of this.
Kim has sung the praises of Géraldine Prieur of Rouge Absolu before and I just had to share a few more of her intense colour schemes. Brave, bold and brilliant. (If you check Kim’s post you’ll notice that the first pink room was once eau de nil and purple. I’m torn but I think I like this pink version better.)
Now this is how you do it up in Paris. Get a fabulous apartment in the Place des Ternes at the 8th and 17th arrondissements of Paris and add some splashes of colour, a crystal chandelier and some mid-century lighting, some photographic art and you have a stylish pad everyone will be envious of. By the talented team of Desjeux Delaye.

I have adored this bathroom for years, I think having first spotted it in the portfolio of Paul Raeside, one of my favourite photographers. Now I come to learn it is designed by Les Trois Garçons. Dreamy!!!
Colour, pattern, quirkiness. Style, finesse and personality. It’s playful. It’s sophisticated. It’s fabulous. I can’t think of a better way to start the new year on Desire to Inspire than this North London home by Australian born, London based designer Peter Mikic.
