A mildly colourful kitchen & dining room

I had to share another project by Julia Chasman, because this one in Pasadena is giving me all the cheerful vibes. The kind that wants to have gatherings and hang out around that island while friends help with the chopping. Others spill into the dining nook and share drinks and a few chuckles. Then when the delicious meal is ready everyone heads into the dining room to ‘tuck in’. Photos: Jenna Peffley.

Last year I featured the San Miguel de Allende home of Jorge Almada and A-M Midy of Casamidy, that they offer for weekly rentals, and when I stumbled upon their website recently I noticed this gorgeous home located in Saint Paul de Vence, France they also offer for rent. What an absolute dream place for a vacation – the interior is gorgeous and the views are to die for!

A 19th century family home in Edinburgh

Posted on Mon, 2 Sep 2024 by KiM

Heriot Row in Edinburgh is a beautiful family home that dates back to the 1800’s. HZI were commissioned to renovate this historic five story property whilst retaining its heritage. With a combination of architectural and interior design, HZI remodelled the house giving this family of six more space by developing a basement extension. The bedrooms, three reception rooms, dining room, kitchen, gym and bathrooms were all updated, adding interest and character through architectural detailing, custom joinery, specialist plasterwork, furniture and fixtures.
In true Hubert Zandberg Interiors fashion, a beautiful home is made even more beautiful at his hand, with elements of sophistication, elegance and practicality. Layered and lovely! Photos: James McDonald.

Rustic barn with a mid-century twist

Posted on Fri, 30 Aug 2024 by midcenturyjo

Binker Barn designed in 1967 by William Turnbull for the Sea Ranch community in Sonoma County, California sits serenely in its surroundings. The interiors have been reimagined by Kay Kollar, emphasising a fabulous collection of mid-century pieces and jewell-like pops of colour. It’s a successful marriage of styles with an acknowledgement of the mid-century bones of this otherwise rustic space.
