A 1770 riverfront home in Maryland

This is a lot of house for a vacation home but what a vacation home it is! Built in 1770, this riverfront home in Easton, Maryland designed by Jess Weeth of Weeth Home honours its history and was at the same time brought into the present making it a functional and beautiful for years to come. I love that it has a bit of sophistication, cottagecore, and beach vibes. Stunning. Photos: Keyanna Bowen.

A colourful beachside Nantucket cottage

I love this little 2 bedroom beachside cottage in Nantucket that LA-based Kevin Isbell designed. The colours and patterns are so vibrant and fresh and perfect for cottage life. Then you have the gorgeous mural (by artist Audrey Sterk) in the “Whale Room” that was printed on grasscloth – an absolutely brilliant element to create a moody and enveloping space in the family room. Obsessed!!! Photos: Read McKendree.

I had to share another beautiful home designed by Brittany Bromley. This Bridgehampton stunner is filled with personality and lots of layers and textures with some help from grasscloth wallpapers. With accents of blue in each space it makes it very cohesive and flows really well. Love this! Photos: Annie Schlechter.

Project a bit Brit

After years of disjointed renovations, this 1920s Colonial underwent a comprehensive transformation for a cookbook author and her family. Lisa Staton Interior Design reimagined the layout, moving the kitchen and main living areas to create a spacious, open space for cooking and entertaining. Inspired by East Coast residences and English country homes, the design balances openness with intimacy, ensuring the home is both inviting and cozy.

A 100 year old colourful cottage

A 100-year-old brick bungalow gets a splashy second act. Our team curated an entirely new storyline for this bungalow home by injecting large doses of color, pattern and texture to brighten what was once a dark and dated home. We remodeled the kitchen, baths, laundry/mud rooms, installed new plumbing throughout, decorated and furnished the entire home and executed a full landscape design and implementation.
California-based mother/daughter designer team Deborah Costa and Kristine Renee of Design Alchemy did not hold back on the colour scheme nor the use of pattern in this cottage they designed. This home is all kinds of fun! Photos: Laurey Glenn.
