This resurrected Victorian farmhouse turned weekend cottage is absolute perfection. The wooden slatted ceilings, simple wood trim, brick fireplaces, the happiest of bright yellow walls, the prettiest wallpapers (in particular ‘Blackthorn Autumn’ by Morris & Co. in the stairs/upstairs hallway), a simple neutral wood kitchen, the coziest bedrooms all make for the perfect family getaway. Jennifer Bunsa, interior designer and founder of Bunsa Studio, transformed her cherished family home in Miami with thoughtful, personal touches. Originally built in 1948 and passed down from her great-grandmother, the home was where Jennifer spent her early years. Before moving back from Brooklyn, she updated the space with studio favorites like Marthe Armitage wallpaper, made subtle floor plan improvements, and curated a collection of vintage and custom pieces, including Moroccan rugs and Lindsey Adelman lighting.

Laura Stephens Interiors have sensitively reimagined a grand period home overlooking one of London’s largest commons, blending elegance with relaxed liveability. Drawing inspiration from the property’s impressive proportions and historic charm, they crafted layered, timeless interiors rich in texture, colour, and pattern. Each room was designed to feel distinct yet cohesive, with saturated tones and tactile details creating warmth within the soaring spaces. A deep respect for the home’s original character shaped every decision, resulting in a refined, welcoming environment that perfectly reflects the clients’ love of authenticity, style, and comfort.

Aside from this being a lesson on how to decorate with lots of colours and patterns by the queen of vintage layered fabulousness, Heidi Caillier, it also a lesson in how to make a home look centuries old when it isn’t. Rough-hewn reclaimed wood beams, varying door heights, mismatched vintage hardware, Delft tile, a hidden passage from the sitting room to the dining room, reclaimed limestone floors and so much more give it sooooo much character. Shane & Pierce is the recent joint venture of LA based designer Evan Shane Krenzien and Dallas-based developer Pierce Jordan. It seems these two talented guys got together to work on Pierce’s Normandy inspired home he built (designed by architect Juan Carlos deLeon) and it was such a success they decided to work together on more projects. I can see why – this home feels modern but has an old-world flavour to it and a warmth that is so welcoming. That kitchen is giving Tuscan vibes and the morning room is a dream.
