She’s a shining star of the U.S. interior design scene and we haven’t featured her work in years. Mea culpa. Time to atone. Sophisticated, multi-layered rooms, sometimes moody, at others glitzy, always inspiring. Modern mixed with traditional, fashion with art. Kara Mann… pure drama.

There is a connection. A physical tug at my heart strings. There is an acknowledgement, an empathy, an understanding. There is also envy. These rooms speak to me in calm, steady but persistent whispers. Enter. Be still. Dream. Interiors by Wick Design.

As is my habit I’ll skip back and forward through our archives and click over to websites to see what the designers and photographers, stylists and architects have been up to since we last visited. Imagine the smile that spread across my face when I revisited Summer Thornton Design and discovered her take on the bachelor pad. Masculine and multilayered, elegant yet casual when needed. A touch of humour and bucket loads of style.
