These are not leftovers (although I might do some tweaking). Oh no. I’m stalking five amazing homes in Sydney and Melbourne. I’d move in to all of them in a heart beat. The problem is I can’t afford one let alone five. Oh well a girl can dream. One or two you may recognise from previous designer features but it’s always interesting to see how the real estate agents and owners pitch them. Two images per house but click on the links to go to the listings for lots of lovely pictures. Via realestate.com.au.

“A forceful feminine approach was counterbalanced through the array of exquisite furniture & soft furnishings used with a striking sense of personality.”
Hollywood Regency with a high end 80s vibe. A rich mix of pinks and burgundies played against black and grey. Brass and stone and feathers. What else could your glam heart desire? St. Ives Residence by Sydney-based interior design firm Designers in the City.
(A Galah, in case you do not know, is a beautiful grey and pink parrot native to Australia. If you look closely you can see a painting of one hanging beside the fireplace.)

I thought I would share some modern minimalism to ease you into the work week (for those who aren’t on summer vacation – those are the people I am hating right now). Leipzig, Germany based creatives Studio Oink is a favourite of mine for calm, beautifully styled spaces with just about the bare minimum. So peaceful. (Previous feature here)

Last month Jo featured a beautiful kitchen by Hannah Crowell of Nashville-based Crowell + Co. Interiors. Hannah’s style is so easy-going, bright and fun that I thought I would share a random assortment of her designs today. Eye candy for your Friday. Happy weekend!

With a personal aesthetic of simplicity, warmth and beauty, New Zealand-born, London-based furniture and homewares designer Cassandra Ellis has created a home that mirrors her belief in quiet, unforced, graceful spaces. Her style and philosophy, the idea of home as a meditation on living, resonate so strongly with me.
