German interior architecture firm Dreimeta (who also designed Tuesday’s La Granja in Ibiza) has created a home as retreat, an escape from high powered, fast paced lives, a place to be surrounded by authentic materials and treasures from travels, a beautiful space to collect and recollect.

Carefully and beautifully curated rooms that are minimalist but not at all sterile. Subtle variations in colour and texture. Elegant and intentional. The hallmark of great Scandinavian design and the signature of Stockholm-based Liljencrantz Design.

Part boutique accommodation and part studio available for hire, both showcasing carefully curated pieces from the soon to be open online store in South Melbourne. A beautiful house, a beautiful base for exploring Melbourne, beautiful pieces, beautiful space for functions and workshops. Simply beautiful.

I love a door, don’t you? It swings, it folds, it slides, it hides. The joy, the serenity of closing off the cluttered, the dirty, the ugly with a well designed door. Not that there is anything but a calm, almost zen-like quality to this contemporary mansion flat by London-based extrArchitecture. It’s like a beautifully crafted puzzle box.
