This redesigned Chicago home sits within a protected historic district, requiring Annarya Design to work within preservation guidelines. The result is a masterful balance of heritage and charm, where original architectural features were honoured and thoughtfully integrated into a fresh, livable aesthetic. The home’s vintage character remains front and center: the original fireplaces anchor key rooms with their undeniable sense of history. The staircase, a focal point in the entry, was carefully restored including missing sections replaced. This home radiates the quiet elegance of something lived-in and loved, with modern comforts, including a kitchen in the new addition, that work for a family. This vibrant family home in the French countryside, just outside Paris, was completely transformed by Sean Symington over an 18-month renovation. Working closely with a young family who relocated from London, the project reimagined the interiors while respecting the home’s original architecture. Grand proportions and symmetry provided the perfect canvas for layering bold colour, texture, and pattern. An eclectic art collection informed much of the design direction, inspiring a personal, expressive aesthetic. Bespoke joinery, antique finds, and custom upholstery bring warmth and individuality to this richly detailed and welcoming home.

We worked closely with long-standing clients to transform this elegant 18th-century house on the Devon estuary into a relaxed and characterful retreat. Blending classic country house design with a youthful, practical spirit, we introduced layered textures and handcrafted details throughout—balancing tradition with a fresh, thoughtful approach. The result is a warm, welcoming home that honours the building’s heritage while capturing the energy of the young family who live there.
Designed by HÁM Interiors, they really nailed the ‘updated traditional’ approach with this spectacular home. Hats off to these talented designers as this is exactly what was called for.

Clella Design approaches every project as a collaborative and personal experience, crafting spaces that reflect each client’s unique style. For Chickering Lane, a home in Nashville’s Oak Hill neighborhood, the studio transformed the home to align with a newly updated modern kitchen. Three bathrooms were completely renovated, the fireplace was given a fresh modern look, and each room was fully furnished, resulting in a cohesive, inviting home with a playful, distinctive personality.
