Aside from every colour under the sun being incorporated into this 200 sq m 1960s Sydney home you also have exposed brick, mural painted on brick, ‘crazy pavers’ flooring, tile, marble, white cork etc. making this home as dynamic and energizing as can be. Glin Castle is an incredible 20,000 square foot, 14th century, 18-bedroom, 18-bath Georgian house in Ireland owned by actor Dominic West, his wife Catherine Fitzgerald and 2 of her sisters (having been in their family since it’s creation). They have lovingly restored the castle and used it as a retreat, but now it’s available to book privately. What an absolutely breathtaking piece of history. Built in the centre of Biarritz between 1927 to 1931, Villa Magnan was only ever inhabited from 1931 to 1936 by Spanish aristocrats. It then lay empty for 80 years until current owners Anne and Jérôme Israël purchased and restored it over the course of one and a half years. Its 1,400 m2 of art deco mostly pink beauty is absolutely spectacular, and you can book a stay via their Instagram account. What a dream!!! Austin in Stereo is a 7,300 sq ft, 4 bedroom home in West Austin where nearly every room of the house was designed by Fern Santini with a unique art or music-themed element. A bar, turntable, Sonos speakers, signed photos of music legends, Woodstock wallpaper, lots of dark walls and graphic patterns make this a really stylin’ and party-ready home. I found the name of Spanish interior designer Javier González Sánchez-Dalp via Instagram but when I went looking for a website in the hopes of finding his portfolio I instead found this feature in Nuevo Estilo of his renovated 17th century Mudéjar-style home in the town of Carmona in southwestern Spain. It is spectacular – particularly the outside spaces so I had to start off with those photos. (Photos: Montse Garriga)
