California coastal

Posted on Wed, 15 Mar 2017 by midcenturyjo

California coastal style in a New England home by Kristina Crestin Design. I am not typically a big fan of this style or the colour blue but I am totally smitten with how well put together this living room. I never would have thought to pair aqua blue, olive green and orange/tan together but it’s gorgeous – and the art and patterned pillows and rug bring it all together. The bathroom is also pretty fab – modern yet really warm with the addition of golden-toned wood.

double g encore

From those French design doyennes double g comes an oh so chic Parisian apartment. Some much sophistication in its 100 sq m footprint. Urban chic with a rustic flick. So cool. So clever. But what else do you expect from Flora de Gastines and Anne Geistdoerfer?

Massively slanted mud patch??? Pati Robins has worked miracles on her backyard space and it has me so inspired to get my arse moving on my own outdoor spaces whenever our frigid winter decides to come to an end. And how incredible is that photo above?!

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Pati’s photography because she is soooo talented. Check out these prints that are currently available at Nickie Kelly. LOVE!!!!

Coming up behind

A classic worker’s cottage façade with a contemporary extension behind. Another great example of how Australians like to live – a desirable inner city suburb close to all the action, a small but charming historical property, a local council that values the preservation of the streetscape and that overwhelming Aussie desire for open plan living with seamless integration of inside and out. City Apartment by Serge Castella

A refreshing blend of randomness by Spanish interior designer Serge Castella. Modern art deco glam – Serge is such a master at mixing things up and keeping each of his projects unique and intriguing. LOVE him! (Check out a bunch of past features here
