A modern transformation of a seaside home

Posted on Wed, 17 Jan 2018 by KiM

Guillaume Terver and Christophe Delcourt of Paris-based architecture and design firm Le LAD have modernized an old seaside home and made it warm and inviting. Loving the slatted wood details throughout, and the view is incredible.

A statement foyer

How do you make a statement in a simple and not very spacious entryway? Paint out all the trim, use a bold colour on the front door, add a sparkly light fixture, DIY a stair runner and add cute accessories and art. VOILÀ! Designed by Megan Pflug.

The simple life

Posted on Mon, 15 Jan 2018 by midcenturyjo

This Shaker style house on the water is a new build with an old soul. Its timeless beauty lies in its simple lines and lack of extraneous decoration. I’m dreaming of wasting time sitting on the porch watching the river flow by or perhaps I’ll be standing at one of those lovely sash windows staring off into the distance. Who cares! I’m just lost in the romance of this farmhouse by Washington DC based Jones Boer Architects.

A new year, a new fabulous location home I am dying over! The kitchen in this home is so large, there is an olive tree growing out of the island! SAY WHAT?!?! I am adding that to my bucket list. Via Shoot Factory
