I really just wanted an excuse to feature the photo above and below, so here are some extras from the portfolio of interior architect/designer Linc Thelen.

Yes, it is another church conversion here on DTI, one of our favourite types of transformations. I think what really gets me with church conversions these days is my new appreciation for stained glass windows, as my current home has several and they’re just such beautiful architectural elements. The windows of this home are really stunning – the yellow is so pretty. Chicago-based interior architect Linc Thelen has turned this church into a modern home with a sleek kitchen (I love how it is centered around the massive stained glass grouping) a massive 2-sided fireplace focal point and lots of white and blond wood. Everything is kept bright and fairly simple which keeps your attention where it should be – on those glorious windows.

I’m just down the road from my last stalking victim property in the suburb of Annandale. A three level, modern family home hiding behind a narrow inner-city Sydney terrace house facade with central glass atrium, lush vertical garden and plunge pool. Link here while it lasts.

I thought I would share some photos from the Toronto Antique & Vintage Market that was held a couple of weeks ago, as a lead-in to a reminder to Ottawa folks that it is now OUR TURN! This weekend is the Ottawa Antique & Vintage Market (this Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4 at Carleton Fieldhouse) the husband has a booth so I will be helping him out again but this time I will be scouring the house to see what vintage goodies I can bring to sell. Maybe a Panton chair….maybe my yellow Eames…some bargello needlepoint pillows…definitively some art….

Husband’s booth for Daff Design. We rocked the show with that stunning floor model radio (the wood grain is ridiculous) that is now a Bluetooth speaker complete with subwoofer – WOOT!!

This vendor had the BEST BOOTH EVER. Eclectic Pelican carries distressed, vintage finds that often have a European/Victorian vibe, and not only did she have the best content but the booth was beautifully styled.

I bought that double-ended brush above and lace wings to hang over my bed. 🙂

At the neighbouring booth the style was similar – this happens to be the daughter of the lovely vendor of the booth above. Yah Bag – wonderful pouches and bags made from vintage postal/bank sacks. LOVE these…so I bought a pouch as a phone holder and another that had small/straps/clips to hook onto your belt loops.

I am so smitten with William Howard‘s work I had to include some random images of other projects – especially the one above. OMG who knew green, blue and orange could look so damn cute together! I want to totally eat that house up. I also want to build flower bed rock walls like below in my front yard next year. I LOVE THAT!
