Stone Canyon

Posted on Tue, 22 Sep 2015 by KiM

I just can’t get enough of Brown Design Group. I have featured 3 of their projects lately (here, here and here) and this one is lovely enough to warrant a fourth post. This 1950’s home in the San Fernando Valley was in desperate need of renovations and some DBG magic to make the home come to life and be the perfect place to stay and never leave. A stunner inside and out.

Navy and gold

Posted on Mon, 21 Sep 2015 by KiM

It is difficult to follow up a post like the last one, so here is a space featuring one of my latest favourite colour combinations – navy and gold. Via Caroline Cobbold Design. Speaking of blue, yesterday I tried out my sample pots of Farrow & Ball’s Railings and Black Blue on my foyer wainscoting and Black Blue wins by a mile. I cannot wait to get the space going (we just had a floor refinisher guy over on Saturday – waiting for his quote *gulp!*).

A Georgian country house

This Georgian country home in West Sussex, U.K. is stunning inside and out. Interior designer Caroline Riddell brought together several styles merging past and present and the result is elegant and quite charming. I love the fishy wallpaper!

Rehabitat relook

Diane lives in Connecticut and loves keeping traditional design current. Her daughter Emily lives in New York City and loves modern design and fashion with a vintage twist. Together they are whipping up some bright, timeless and functional spaces as Rehabitat. (I featured their work earlier in the year here)

Love that quote 🙂

Stalking 1

Stalking, with a reader’s help (keep stalking Kiran), an 1870s brick home in Birchgrove, Sydney. Harbour views (albeit through neighbours’ properties) and high end finishes for this stylish and elegant inner-city gem. Once again don’t miss the video to get a better sense of the space. Link here while it lasts.
