artKRAFT’s new warehouse

A while back I featured some photos on my page of artKRAFT, a shop in Budapest that specializes in industrial furnishings and lighting. They recently acquired a new massive space in a warehouse that is nearly 500 m2 with 9m ceilings. I swear I would have a mild heart attack walking into this shop. What a dream! And OMG – stairs made from pallets. 🙂

An Italian home in its original glory

For as long as I can remember I have dreamt about buying a very old home in Europe that is filled with glorious original details and maintaining that while modernizing bits as needed. This home in Italy was pretty much left intact by architecture and design firm Archiplan. Original materials were sealed to maintain their longevity, and some modern touches added to rooms like the kitchen and bathrooms. The result is stunning.

Loving this fun and eccentric Spanish getaway in Sotogrande, Cádiz by interior design firm Melián Randolph. Part Mediterranean, part country, part modern, it is a beautiful home with an even more beautiful landscape. I can see huge family gatherings here.

But it doesn’t have to be. Why can’t grown-ups join in the fun? These stylish acrylic doll houses by Mint Rhapsody are just as much a design statement for your home as the play thing of little hipsters. I’d love one myself and I don’t even have kids.
