It has been a long time since I featured the styling prowess of Erin Swift, and it seems her work just keeps getting better and better. My desire to now rework every corner of my house is a sure sign that this stylist’s portfolio is extraordinary. It just gives you that itch. You know, THAT ONE. 🙂

It is a holiday here in Canada and I have high hopes to get some de-uglifying of my front yard done before this afternoon’s thunderstorms arrive. So before I dash off, enjoy some designs by Chicago-based soon-to-be interior designer Claire Rose of Centered by Design, who strongly believes that your home is your personal sanctuary. It absolutely is.

The two intersecting blocks that comprise this Woollahra house by Sydney-based architectural firm Tzannes Associates have been arranged to suit an irregular site. More so they are like two giant arms wide open to embrace the outside. With walls and windows that slide and concertina the interiors become part of the garden. What a joy to have that flowering magnolia as part of your living room.

Before I head out for breakfast and errands, and then spend the remainder of the day at the folks place hanging out at the pool and enjoying some BBQ (because SUMMER!!!) I leave you with this gorgeous newly renovated Georgian home in Hackney, UK that is available via JJ Locations. Love the bold colour choice in the living and dining rooms, and the little kitchen is adorable. And I want that polar bear side table. 🙂
