If I was not sold on brass hardware for my kitchen redo, I sure am now. These first 2 kitchens by Rebecca Hay are beautiful and the brass hardware adds a little unexpected bit of colour and glam. This Toronto designer has talent, and seems to be able to gorg-ify spaces in a variety of styles.

Sexy and sophisticated. Glamour with a touch of industrial. Not much just a little don’t want to water down the glam too much. If you’re looking you’ll find me in the library. Swoon. Suzy Hoodless in collaboration with Michaelis Boyd Architects.

This is the coolest hangout for kids EVER! Although forget the kids…I could spend an entire day in here doing crafts and lounging on that sofa with some magazines. Gorgeous colours! Another masterpiece by Courtney Nye.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these spaces designed by Portland, OR interior designer Courtney Nye. She blends so many different styles together and somehow manages to create such beautifully cohesive rooms that are complete eye candy. Like the kitchen in the first 2 photos. The cabinet colour (mint?) is surprisingly perfect with the subway tiles and steel accents.

…having a little kitchen dining nook with banquette seating. This little spot surrounded by windows is a dream I have had for as long as I can remember.

…mudrooms. A home for all those coats and winter paraphernalia and wet snowy boots and cat leashes. Where the floors won’t get destroyed. Where my husband and I can enter the house and remove our outerwear without bashing into each other. I have not had that in about 8 years. 🙁 Yes, I also dream of mudrooms.
