TomMarkHenry

TomMarkHenry are Sydney based design trio Jade Nottage, Cushla McFadden and Chloe Matters. Fresh and young with an edge, their work places emphasis on texture and fabrics but still with a minimalist aesthetic. No frou frou here just fab, stylish interiors.

I am up to my eyeballs in paint as I work on transforming my living room, and I would just like to say thank you to all those who told me to lose the mahogany trim. While I am still not sure about my entry way (where the majority of the wood work is) I am really happy to see the mahogany gone in the living room. I still have alot of work to do but photos to come ASAP. During a short break yesterday while working on the trim, I came across these 2 residences that I fell in love with. The first is a beautiful old farm in Denmark that has been totally renovated and filled with flea market finds. It has a really lovely neutral colour palette. (Via Femina) The other is a small apartment in Barcelona that used to be a series of dark, cramped rooms. Sergi Pons Architects created an open floor plan and inserted a white cube in the centre to house the kitchen and bathroom. Such stunning original stone walls and ceramic tile ceiling, and the result is a successful marriage of modern and rustic. (Via Living)

Anna Burke Interiors

Posted on Fri, 17 Oct 2014 by KiM

Happy Friday folks! I have the day off today so I spent the morning getting my hair did, and now I am about to tackle more painting of my living room (a couple of sneak peaks are on Instagram). So I will leave you with some really pretty interiors by Anna Burke. She is all about a blank white canvas, with lots of gorgeous colours, patterns and textures to add visual interest. The result are spaces that are a bit feminine, and a lot fabulous.

One of our readers, Missy, recently had her flat in Makati, Philippines made over and she shared some photos of the transformation with us. With the help of her designer friend Richard and a budget of about $8000 (US), the apartment was transformed with lots of vintage pieces and some from Ikea. The before photos are a bit scary…

And here are the after photos. Now cosy and chic, Missy’s flat is a space she can be proud to call her own. Great job Missy!

Colour pop

Need a boost into the weekend? How about this fab house by Melbourne icon of all things colour and fun, Fenton & Fenton? Take a neutral background, add a little Fenton & Fenton magic and watch it fizz and pop.
