Brian O’Tuama Architects

Posted on Fri, 10 Oct 2014 by KiM

Sometimes I get really excited while doing blog research. The portfolio of London firm Brian O’Tuama Architects definitively got my heart rate up. I’m not quite clear why…there is nothing overly exciting about the residential space they have created. But I think that is the key. They are not over-designed, flashy, complex…they are simple and understated and all you really need. Here are snippets from several of their projects….with my absolute favourite coming up next so stay tuned 🙂

FORM

Some very eclectic and a somewhat random collection of interior projects by Los Angeles-based FORM. I think I need to get myself a pair of fluro yellow Manolos to use as props. A bit funkier than the typical Hunter boots. 😉

Hotel Baume Paris

I have shared a couple of Paris hotels here in the past, specifically La Belle Juliette and Hôtel du Pantheon. Alain Bisotti sent links to photos of the latest hotel – Hôtel Baume. It is as beautiful as the others. In a couple of weeks my parents are heading to London, the Canary Islands and coincidentally Paris…I am thinking about finding a way to cram myself in one of their suitcases. And this is absolutely where I would stay. I particularly love this first room. Lovely muted tones and the pale pink and black with mirrors are perfect touches of girly glam.

Fantasy safari

It’s hump day. Slap bang in the middle of the week, a mountain of work to do and the weekend  like a mirage on the horizon. Time for a fantasy escape. A luxury safari getaway to Segera Retreat on the Laikipia Plateau in Kenya. Ahhh! I’m feeling better already.
