Kababie Arquitectos

Elías Kababie is an architect and interior designer from Mexico whose work came across our inbox the other day. His designs are for the most part modern/contemporary with creative touches and an industrial edge. Love this first apartment. A cool bachelor’s pad in my favourite colour combo – except I would switch out the jeweled chandelier for something modern and edgy.

Heart Home sneak peek

Posted on Tue, 10 Sep 2013 by KiM

‘Tis the season for new issues of online magazines to be released! I got my hands on a copy of the new autumn issue of Heart Home magazine that’s coming out Thursday and it is I think my favourite issue so far. A little less shabby chic and a little more industrial is the current vibe and I’d totally digging it. Now I know you’re dying for a sneak peek…

One Hot Yoga

Something a little different today. Inspirational in many ways. Design, lifestyle, health and well being. OK I’ll confess I’ve never tried yoga but this stylish studio in Melbourne might just tempt me into action. Is that terribly wrong of me? One Hot Yoga studios were designed by Robert Mills Architects.

Daniel Hopwood

Check out this funky apartment by British architecture and interior design firm Daniel Hopwood. We designed this London apartment with the intention to create a place where the owners could entertain lavishly. The result was inspired by Halston’s radical 70s New York apartment, layered in tones of white with a limited palette of materials. I am a big fan of large art groupings, and the one in the dining space looks fantastic, especially how it mimics the windows. And LOVE all of the classic mid-century furnishings. Definitively a fun party pad. 🙂

And a few extras that caught my eye…

Villa San Lorenzo

Debora from Italy sent us some photos and info of a restored farm located in the heart of Tuscany. It’s the charming house and the evocative artistic world of Mrs. Paola Vallini, also known as Nerina P., painter. Best thing of the house is the big fireplace in the hall with archway made of red brick. In front of it there is a big and antique oriental rug. The kitchen is furnished with antique Italian pieces made of fine solid wood, and decorated with the family collection of pottery from florentine area. In the garden there’s an old-fashioned oven to make tasty pizzas and fragrant bread. Artworks on walls are all made by Nerina P. This classic Tuscan style home is absolutely beautiful, and would be a dream to visit, with a glass of wine in hand.
