To ease you into the weekend how about some traditional vibes with beautiful textiles in blue and white stripes and florals by Los Angeles interior designer Mark D. Sikes.

White and bright and modern in this newly built home in Brentwood, Los Angeles designed by Sharon Taftian. Fabulous touches of brass throughout, and every new house needs black framed windows. They make such a graphic impact. Makes me want to paint all of wood framed leaded interior windows out. Added it to the to-do list!

It is as if an exquisitely restrained, minimalist interior has been inserted into a 19th century timbered house. Colour is used sparingly and when it is, coloured blocked “boxes” contain the new. The stark contrast between old and new heightens the impact of both. Maison à Colombages by 05AM Arquitectura.

A little bit of glorious boho eye-candy care of Hubert Zandberg for the luxury fashion house Talitha’s concept showroom in Notting Hill, London.

The team of Georgia-based Rethink Design Studio has a lot of fun with this country home by adding bold graphic wallpaper in several rooms and lots of fun colours and patterns in accessories and the occasional piece of statement furniture. The result is a whimsical and functional family home.
