I’m stalking one of my most favourite Australian homes. Colourful contemporary living within a beautiful Victorian era house in the Melbourne suburb of South Yarra. You may recognise this design crush of mine. It’s by TechnΔ and I featured it back here. While you drink in the pictures and the video I’ll be sitting here trying to figure out how to rob a bank or build a Ponzi scheme to raise cash for the auction. Link here while it lasts.

A winning combination of vintage furnishings and tons of plants were the reason I had to share this London terrace maisonette built in the 1800’s and recently remodelled. A mix of painted and natural wood floorboards, exposed wood beams, a kitchen I am dying over and storing in my inspiration file, and the most beautiful windows and doors help make this home sooooo special. Available as a location home through jj Locations.

What would you expect from American fashion and homewares designer James Perse when it comes to his own home? The king of the minimalist (and expensive) t-shirt has taken a rather average Malibu “farmhouse” and worked his magic to create a home where old-world charm meets modern sophistication in a carefully curated mix of antiques and pieces from his own furniture collections.

Pardon me please. I know it’s only Tuesday. I know I shouldn’t feel the need for a virtual getaway this early in the week. I should at least make it to hump day but I can’t. I wish I could escape for real to this beautiful house right on the beach. Simple luxury, an amazing location on the isolated Indonesian island of Gili Meno just a fast boat from Bali, no cares or worries except for sand between the toes. The Siamese cat I was fostering for the Country Cat Sanctuary, Moss, was constantly being tormented by a couple of my ferals and it was getting really stressful and I knew he could no longer stay here. I am happy to report that my dear friend Karen of Highjinx offered to give him a home and we brought him there Saturday evening. He is such a chill cat that he adapted immediately to his new home and his new mom and loves it there. We miss him terribly but we are so happy knowing he can now live in peace.
