Long weekend reading list

Posted on Sat, 1 May 2010 by midcenturyjo

… is the most strenuous thing I will do this weekend

It’s a three day weekend here in Oz. Labour Day. There are no plans for any sort of labour for my three days. Monday for me will be Sloth Day. Solidarity sisters and brothers 😉 So here for your delectation is a labour intensive (well hours of bloggy fun) reading guide. Enjoy!

Dogma Studio

Happy Friday everyone. It’s been a looooong week, and going to be a looooong weekend filled with basement organizing (including getting rid of alot of my crap), wedding dress and ring shopping, and dressing room demolition (wait till you see the flooring I bought last weekend!). All in preparation of the arrival of my fiancé and his 2 cats. So with that I leave you with photos of gorgeous spaces from the portfolio of Milan-based photographer(s) Dogma Studio.

Gemma Comas

Photographer Gemma Comas has always been generous with her work, sending along her latest images for us to use. When Gemma emailed this week that she had launched her new website I quickly clicked over and loved what I saw. It’s fresh and uncomplicated, youthful and fun. I can imagine walking into these rooms and feeling right at home. Here’s just a taste of what you’ll find when you visit Gemma’s website. Love this portfolio! (Don’t miss Gemma’s blog for updates on her latest projects)

Sabrina Rothe

It’s easy to see why German photographer Sabrina Rothe has shot for magazines such as Elle Decoration GB. Her aesthetic is minimal and crisp. Light is bright and white but not harsh. Simple rooms shimmer and floors and windows almost glow.  Stylish European interiors never looked so good. A pared back stylish vibe. Once again a photographer has me craving timber… floors, furniture, windows. A good photographer should always make you crave. (For a look at Sabrina’s darker side don’t miss her stills portfolio on her website.)
