Schuyler Samperton

Schuyler Samperton is an L.A. based designer who’s portfolio I love. I am a big fan of bold colours, but her portfolio of spaces filled with mostly muted colours just seems so relaxing and inviting. Her hits of colour are instead in vases of gorgeous flowers. What a simple way to inject some colour in a room (temporarily for those who are colour-phobic).

Jo Barnes is an interiors stylist who is said to have played an integral role in making Living Etc. one of the most popular modern homes magazines in Britain (and one of my favourites). The proof is in the pudding…

Jan Showers

Jan Showers is goddess of glamourous interiors. Her designs are all about luxurious fabrics (including many zebra rugs, which I covet), glorious mirrors, breathtaking colours and furniture to simply die for. Jan’s favorite quote is “The first thing I tell my clients is that they need to look great and feel good in their own rooms, otherwise, why bother?”. How could you not feel like a million dollars in these rooms??

Let me introduce you to the outstanding photography of Ted Yarwood. Please have a look at his portfolio for more eye candy – there were so many amazing photos to choose from. I love the photos below because the lighting in each is just perfect, and he focuses on the most beautiful elements of each space. Oh – and I would give my right arm for those pink tufted leather chairs.

Atelier September

I’m drawn to the Gustavian look. Love the Scandinavian take on distressed antiques, monotones, simple ceramics and hemp and linen fabrics. I’m particularly loving the grey on grey. Just a peep inside this beautiful Danish antique store, Atelier September.
