This rustic and utterly fabulous home is that of another designer over at HÁM Interiors, founder Tom Cox. Tongue and cheek rustic cottage, yet this design firm always manages to pull off some level of “really cool”.
Our founder Tom Cox fulfilled a long-time dream of owning a secluded farmhouse in Devon. He’s filled it with art, antiques, and furniture that reflect the Cox family’s design aesthetic and his love of nature. The farmhouse, cottage, and outdoor kitchen provide a cosy, inviting space for Tom, his family, and friends to escape and relax in comfort.

Essex, London based designer Fiona Duke believes great interior design really can the way you feel and ultimately make you happier. Using a mix of modern and vintage styles to create an eclectic yet elegant relaxed ‘effortless’ aesthetic. we believe that designing with a mic of styles creates a far more authentic way of living and helps to embrace the beauty of the ‘imperfect” into every design.
The lively colours and casual vibe, personality and overall cheerfulness of these spaces designed by Fiona are giving me all the feels.

Up there with my love of converted churches is my love of converted barns. I might even love barns more because of the rustic, casual nature of their structures. “The Grateful Farm” in the Hudson Valley was built in the 1920s and purchased days before the pandemic as a weekend retreat but it sounds like the owners moved in and never left. How could you leave this picturesque scene and all that open space?! I found these spaces on the Bennison Fabrics website and fell in love with the beautiful patterns. I am clearly a pattern girl, and a bit rare among these parts. A Canada Post mailperson just showed up at my door and I had to sign for the package so I opened the door and she saw inside my vestibule (covered in Farrow & Ball wallpaper) and says “Oh – what lovely wallpaper! You don’t see wallpaper very often” 🙂

Located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, the home was inspired by a playful, comfortable take on Colonial simplicity. Highlights include multiple handmade wallpapers, including a textured recycled newsprint in the main stair hall. Lots of bright light, some patterns and hits of colour, with the addition of some vintage elements makes this home exuberant and effortlessly casual and inviting.
