More is more in this British apartment

Posted on Fri, 3 Nov 2023 by KiM

I’m mostly posting this home for that reading nook (painted in Apple Smiles by Paint & Paper Library). I would spend all winter curled up in there with a candle, a magazine and a cup of tea. Designed by Rosanna Bossom. Photos: Mike Garlick.

A medieval château in Creuse, France

This expansive and incredibly majestic château in Creuse, France is move-in ready and every inch is beautifully restored. It includes a scullery, service entrance, 2 dining rooms, cellar, 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, village entrance (?), library, smoking room, linen room and sooo much more. 10 years of restoration work reveals collection of 17th century embossed leather panels and wallpapers dating from the late 19th century. Now THIS is a DREAM piece of history you could own for €1,198,000 (via Patrice Besse)

A Venice-comes-to-Camden apartment

Posted on Thu, 26 Oct 2023 by KiM

Back in 2019 I featured the Camden apartment of Luke Edward Hall and Duncan Campbell that was a very colourful combination of mostly green and pink and I fell in love with it. A few years later and maybe a few iterations later, their apartment now has a whole new “Venice” vibe (though still with shades of green and pink). Lots of graphic wallpaper. dark textiles, faux marble, a bold red kitchen topped with a pediment and urns, a lush fabric-laden bedroom make this version of their apartment so much moodier and by far my favourite. Grand Hotel Son Net

Son Net is a palace in Mallorca (at the foot of Sierra de Tramuntana) built in 1672 and was converted into a luxury hotel in 1998. I absolutory fell in love with this hotel the moment I came across some photos and learned it was designed by one of my all-time favourite designers, Lorenzo Castillo. The palacio suites can include private terrace with fountains, balconies, living room, private garden, outdoor living and dining area, portico, or you can ‘slum it’ 😉 and book a pool cottage suite or the pool cottage house. What a breathtaking place to book a holiday stay.
