Colourful and whimsical in a Harlem apartment

Posted on Mon, 8 Mar 2021 by KiM

WOW!!! Walking into the Harlem apartment of designer Courtney McLeod (of Right Meets Left Interior Design) must have everyone immediately grinning from ear to ear. This is BOLD and DRAMATIC and SO MUCH FUN! That saturated blue, mixed with orange and pink (and subtle red and green) is a quirky combination that works so beautifully. And a more calming bedroom with a stunning wallpaper adds sophistication. (Check out more of Courtney’s work here)

Pink and vintage in a Milan apartment

Posted on Sun, 7 Mar 2021 by KiM

This apartment in Milan (of fashion designer Federica Vieros) has many elements that really speak to me so I had to share. Swoon-worthy architecture, unique colour and wallpaper choices, and a covetable collection of vintage lighting, furnishings and accessories make this home absolutely delightful. Via sköna hem.

The new antiquarians

This California bungalow has not only the pleasure of some great weather but the vintage vibes this home throws down is giving me all the feels. Especially the master bathroom. OMG. Put this one in your inspiration folder folks. Another project by Breeze Giannasio.

In balance

This beautiful home in the suburbs of Madrid was designed by Isabel López-Quesada. A neutral palette, an eclectic blend of furnishings with a fairly strong lean towards mid-century and an all-around timeless vibe makes this a winner.

I have been following Austin, Texas based designer Kristin Laing for some time now on Instagram (I think it was her kitchen that reeled me on – more on that below) so I figured it was about time I feature her work here on the blog. This is the house she lived in for 8 years, until she sold it a few months ago and has since moved into a new place. She shared some really incredible before (from the MLS listing) and afters on her blog and they were so insanely good I had to share. Let’s dig in!

She gave a very detailed resource list in her blog post if you’re wondering what her sources are. After photos by Brian Cole.
