It’s like I say time and time again. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish. The New York offices of architectural firm Ike Kligerman Barkley.

It’s Sunday, and you can stay home and clean and do some really exciting meal prepping for this week (that’s what I’m doing on this rainy day) or you can go out and do something for YOU like get your nails done. Something I haven’t done in probably 20 years. EEEKKKK. Laquerbar in the San Francisco Bay Area promises great nails, great drinks, and unabashedly feminist values. Sweet! Monochromatic themes of pink and purple with light wood finishes and raw concrete came together for a fresh, millennial-friendly, yet sophisticated vibe. An oversized gallery wall of female icons and role models completes the space’s fun, girl-power attitude. Designed by Form + Field.

Week in, week out, it’s always the same. If you have to drag yourself into work on weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish. Tai Jewelry by Carter Design.

If you’re stuck going in to the office on a Sunday, it would be no sweat if it was as cool as the Oakland, CA office of Black Girls CODE (an inspiring organization trying to increase the number of women of color in the digital technology space by introducing girls 7-17 to CS – which I LOVE. 20 years ago when I was in the computer science program at a local college, I was one of maybe 5 women, and that included my twin sister. And we 5 were white or Asian). Designer Kīyonda Powell used such stunning, jewel tones in this space, and lots of fun patterns in fabrics and wallpaper.
