All things calm, all things comforting. Natural elements and so cosy. The first photos are of a charming bed and breakfast… yes please. A stay here would be just the perfect weekend away. Or a cool, calm stylish apartment, minimal but everything you’d need. Just a few of the interiors by Dutch stylist and interior designer Wilma Custers. Don’t miss her styling portfolio. Looks of lovely rooms (unfortunately not big enough to do justice here).

Hi Guys, I look forward to updates on you blog everyday … I religiously check @ 4.00m AEST everyday!!

And have been for the last 1.5 years.

I am looking at renovation my bathroom, and have checked out all of your bathroom images …

Can you please help me with some bathroom designs with an in-built laundry, I currently have a bathroom that is 3.5 * 3.0m & have front-load washing machine with a dryer on top of it.

Cheers,

Thuy

I love the wall mounted unit in the last photo! Does anyone know where it came from/who makes it?

Lynn says:

I love all these images, these ROOMS! Here I live in the Netherlands, and was unfamiliar with her work. Tsk. The two panelled bedrooms are especially wonderful.

I’ll second Thuy’s request: our bathroom is around the same size and must house a washer/dryer combo too. I feel sometimes like I will never find/create the perfect floorplan.

And, if you’re taking requests – 🙂 – my daughter, just emigrated to Canada, will be moving into a tiny studio in Ottawa (Glebe) at the end of the month. It measures – the bedsit part – just 10’by 12′ (apparantly. It looks a bit bigger in the photos she took during the viewing ) and most of the Small Space inspiration starts at 200 square feet. Do you have any ideas for tinytinytiny domiciles?

KiM says:

Thanks for being a DTI regular Thuy and while the Glebe is a gorgeous old neighbourhood with lots of great shops and restaurants, that is a pretty small space your daughter is moving into Lynn! And V, I am unsure of where that unit is from. 2Modern sells similar style units.

I do have a request to you both Thuy and Lynn, and anyone else with requests for posts. Please don’t leave your request in the comments because we will never remember about it when it’s buried in here. Sending Jo and I an email via our contact form is much more effective. That way we can add it to the pile of other requests we hope to have time for.
Thank you!

I love this post. It is so nice to view rooms that have such personality and not so static. Thanks for sharing. I live in the Midwest and create from my heart and I love when I find others that do the same and aren’t cookie-cutter creations without personal distinction. Come visit me some time when you get the chance. Your blog is just fantastic and full of great ideas.

I love the contrast of deep charcoal against stark white. It's so crisp and fresh. Just wish I could figure out where it fits in my place! Great post. xoxo

Minnie says:

I love the quirkiness yet also peaceful look to these images. Wonderful on a rainy day here in my corner.

Stacy says:

I absolutely love those two dark walls – particularly the slate colored one. One day I’ll be out of ‘renter’s white’!

Beth says:

I love the feel of these rooms — so relaxed and casual, yet with fine lines and beautiful fabrics.
