Clean lines, monochromatic, dramatic in its restraint and simply beautiful. The latest private residence by Albano Daminato. Design classics by Hans Wegner, Warren Platner, Eero Saarinen and Arne Jacobsen are combined with custom pieces and layered with the textures of oak, hand woven rugs and travertine stone adding depth to the monochromatic palette. Sometimes colour is just not necessary to make a statement.

Does anyone where the chairs in the second picture are from? Or who designs/designed them? I bought four dining chairs recently with a similar look from a second-hand store.
kim. says:
Anna – those chairs are Platners. Lucky you to have found similar ones!
Anna says:
They’re not quite as nice but they will do me! Just have to find a gorgeous fabric to redo the upholstery 🙂

Really beautiful interior and pictures. For those of you who love mid-century furniture
like me, there is this great site with overviews of several designers’ works. For Wegner, see: http://www.deconet.com/decopedia/designer.action?id=1269
