When I saw this house I could not help but gasp in disbelief and then chuckle. I don’t think I have ever been more disappointed by an interior after seeing an exterior in all my years of blogging. So with that, let me share with you a bunch of exterior photos of this manor house for sale in Somerset (which includes 2 cottages), and then the interior. Consider yourselves warned 😉 For sale via Roderick Thomas

Good for them for breaking away from the traditional and expected decor. Sure the interior doesn’t match the exterior, but that doesn’t mean this interior is bad. It looks like it was done well. (Sorry, but I’ve see far worse on here.)

Thanks goodness you warned us! But I still didn’t see that coming… Anyhow, the ‘outside world’ is amazing. I am always very curious about the cottages/ gate lodges/ guest houses. Maybe you can do a special featuring this kind of buildings (and their interiors) one day? Would be great!

Based on the last photo, I wonder if the homeowner is an interior designer and designed the home themselves.
If true, would be interesting to see other homes by the person.
Anna says:
Wow – it’s a TARDIS.
JP says:
Just picture it completely empty…and then one room at a time.
JP says:
See it empty….go from there.
JP says:
If one takes everything out…its so filled with light.
JP says:
Empty every room. Go from there.
JP says:
Light is amazing. The sun. Just take everything out. Paint. Add slowly.
JP says:
I’ll take it. Empty.
