Mimmi O’Connell

With a fusion of Asian and European aesthetics interior designer Mimmi O’Connell brings a calm and elegant sensibility to her rooms. Linen is mixed with iron and timber, whitewash with Asian antiques and world travel finds. It’s a look that is evocative of warm lazy afternoons, a siesta in Southern France or Tuscany. Fine wine and a fine life surrounded by simple yet fine things.

Love the colours.. the use of floor standing mirror.. and the laddar.. I've got to use a laddar somewhere!!!

I adore the bathroom with the sunken tub and the beautiful mirrors.. so relaxing!

I was impressed most with your line describing them — linen is mixed with iron and timber — don't know why that struck such a chord

Thanks for the fantastic post. I want to move in… any of the rooms. The layering is so intimate.

I can't decide which I love more – the Asian or European spaces. 🙂

I am desperate to find the 19th century English wrought iron and brass canopy bed. Can anyone help? PLEASE!!!
