Suze’s ode to Jonathan Adler

Suze Yalof Schwartz of the blog Dwellers Without Decorators had emailed us a while back looking for curtain inspiration. She emailed again to share with us her fabulous newly renovated New York apartment and OMG did I ever have to share it with you all. It’s gorgeous and I love every square inch of it. Her home is very Jonathan Adler-esque (she even met him and told him so!). Here are some photos of her living room which she turned into a combined living/dining space (so she could use the dining room as an office/den). The architecture of this apartment is phenomenal and must have been so exciting to work with. (Decent existing architecture is so hard to find). I am smitten with the wall colour, the trim detail she added to the walls, her Jonathan Adler sofa, her dining chairs…

First, a couple before photos:

And voilà, the after, photographed by Dan Hallman.

Last week Suze began posting a room from her newly revamped apartment each day on her blog – so I had to include a few photos from some of the other spaces because each one is fabulous!

I never post a comment, but I had to chime in to say this place is fabulous. I love how light and airy it looks. It’s comfortable and elegant at the same time.

ditto with Vy….I would love to hear more about the ceiling fan!

stunning!

The Ceiling drum was so easy. “Ira at 516-384-2487″ Ira is based in Florida, but ships all over the US. Basically, you unscrew the “hub” from the ceiling fan (he said it is as simple as removing three screws) and send it to him. He’ll manufacturer the shade and attach to the hub and send it back. The price for this shade is surprisingly affordable. And, he offers a number of vinyl backed linen options. The result is a beautiful soft light. for more info on the process check out this blog post http://www.maddiegdesigns.com/chic-idea-for-the-fan-with-lights/

Stunning! Jonathan Adler’s influence in any home makes for a whimsical and inviting space- in other words- PERFECTION.

so beautiful!

I loved the space. Of the room, however my eye goes a bit "night" with too much stuff. Feels like it is shooting. At me. I need a a calm environment to call home I can see one chair a different color, but it feels like too much noise in my head.
