Reader requests – banquettes

Mary Anne of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia wrote us with a request for a post on banquette dining/eating areas. She found the post I did back in ’07, but wanted some more ideas. So here are more banquette seating for your viewing pleasure.

All of these are wonderful, but that kitchen from Katie Ridder is so warm -love the floor and art as well as the banquette.

I love banquets. I actually often incorporate these, if the space can take it, in interior settings (for school).

I love the banquets. "Turquoise" is probably my favorite, with the quaint setting and cozy atmosphere, but whenever they’re done well, banquets can be unique and add real character.

Thanks so much for the great images! Most of these I haven’t seen – so I knew I could count on you for getting me some more banquette looks. I love the idea of eating near the kitchen as unfortunately it seems that our dining table area is always used for storing stuff and not eating on!
