Derek Swalwell

Say it’s the light streaming in. Say it’s the soft shadow across the floor, the stark chiaroscuro. Say it’s the composition and the well considered angle, the crop, the framing. Say it’s an understanding of architecture and how people interact in a space. Say it’s an artist’s eye. Whatever you say I say Derek Swalwell is my new photographer crush. An extensive and inspiring portfolio.

gorgeous photos and spaces.

one thing – that giant room with the table with clear legs: where is the stuff? i know some people are minimalist, but i think this is just too… 'architecture' and not reality. i find it hard to believe they don't have a single object in that giant room. but i could be wrong…

– agata.

I am in love with the all white picture with tongue-n-groove ceiling and whitewashed walls! Having the bed so low to the ground gives it a very organic feel – very beachy! I love it! Great photos!

totally gorgeous! I LOVE all the slatted wood, and that table with the clear legs… AMAZING!
