Weekender real estate stalking

I have a recurring dream where I pack up a box of fab deli foods and wine, just a change or two of clothes (don’t forget the swimmers) and hit the road down south to my weekender. Sometimes it will just be me. Sometimes my friends are coming too. It is such a lovely dream that I often don’t want to wake up. I think I will incorporate these two houses into my dreams for a while. Both in the hinterland behind Byron Bay. One is serene and the other a bit zany but both would be a wonderful escape from the Monday to Friday grind. No money in the bank for either of these. (The prices are extreme. This is a very popular bolt hole for the well heeled.) Maybe we could pitch in and do time share. Links for the houses here and here while they last.

God's own country! When I lived in Queensland and we would drive down there for the day, we used to say the border needed to be moved. I can't say that now I live in New South Wales. It's the perfect spot for us as my husband likes the rolling hills and wide open spaces whereas I'm a beach girl. Pity the prices have skyrocketed in the last 20 years when we first used to venture down this way. Sigh. One day!

Great cook's kitchen! I need a chandelier like that in my kitchen to make cooking seven days a week feel more glamorous.

I love the paint color on the kitchen and the small bedroom on the corner. It made me remember this house due to the walls on the firsts pictures: http://unacasaconjardin.blogspot.com/2011/10/una-casa-en-la-selva.html

Great pool…Exterior looks adorable.
