Michael Penney

Michael Penney is a decorator, stylist, blogger, former magazine editor at Canadian House & Home and is a soon-to-be shop owner. He is also a big fan of DIY projects, including dip-dye drapes that he did for H&H mag that I fell in love and have been wanting to do ever since.

I have been a fan of his work for some time as he’s clearly got a great eye for design, creates relaxed yet sophisticated spaces and I think I can safely say that the photos below are going to make you want to start re-decorating!

I love to find fellow Ontario Blogers and I just found you and bookmarked your Blog. I have been paging through and noticed the bracelet you bought and it made me think of the jewelery my granddaughter makes. She also lives in Ottawa and you can see her work here:http://missmagoozjewellery.blogspot.ca/ Love your Blog and will be checking it out often.

I have been following Michael Penney for years, from Canadian H&H on his blog etc. I love his DIY styleing. His recent house redo with his wife on CHH website is awesome! Thanks for the pictures.

that white credenza in the first pic is amazing! <3 it!

Love Michael and have been a long time follower.

That coral colour in the very first picture looks so beautiful with the white dresser. Michael Penney has a great eye.

I like the coral color in first picture too. I am trying to figure out how to use that color in my office. I have to tone down my color explosion, this guy has some really good inspiration for that.

I subscribe to House and Home. Quite honestly Michael P. was not high up on my list of favourites. Much of his diy centered around simply throwing on a coat of paint on stuff he happened to find and styling bordered on not so much traditional, as old fashioned. The pix you've selected here, however, are some his best and quite nice. I think he would do a nice job in a cottage or country home re-design.
