“Ever wish you had a friend with a stylish house on a beautiful hillside in Tuscany, one who knows the best local restaurants, towns and vineyards? Well now you do.”
With a tag line like that you know have found the perfect holiday getaway. La Bandita is the creation of music executive John Voigtmann who had the crazy idea of ditching the big city and the celebrities and with his wife restore a derelict Tuscan farmhouse. It’s relaxed, comfortable, modern yet rustic, stylish and no fuss. Sheep wander past the perfect pool, views go on forever and I wouldn’t be surprised if lunch continued on till dinner. Down a long bumpy road is a slice of Italian heaven. The best things in life are always off the beaten track.

Oh garsh, this one is one of my faves that you've done. I get this sense of serenity just from looking at the pictures, imagine if I lived there!

My boyfriend and I stayed at La Bandita for a few days in October and could not recommend it strongly enough. It was especially peaceful end-of-season– one night we even had the place to ourselves! John & his wife make you feel at home, the home cooked food is spectacular and everyone who works there goes the extra mile to accommodate you. We were told that the valley in which it's located is the "most beautiful" in Tuscany. We'd been traveling around Tuscany for about 2 weeks and pretty much every valley was stunning, but when we arrived at La Bandita we believed. You truly have to see it to believe it. Something about the swell of the hills, the light and the volcano in the distance is other-worldly. Killer interiors doesn't hurt either!

I stayed there for 2 weeks, and Alex, I agree with you 100%. I've been in Florence for 2 years and explored all around the Tuscany, there are many stunning places, hotels, but at last, la Bandita comes first. It's the place die for.
