Thomas Loof is a genius photograher. Composition = perfection. Lighting = ideal. Subjects = stunning. Some Friday eye candy at it’s finest. (And if you can’t get enough of Thomas’ work, check out this post from way back).

A design CURE

Posted on Fri, 30 Nov 2012 by midcenturyjo

An eclectic mix with a mid century riff. Neutral background with texture and colour adding layers of interest. Classic with a modern edge. Sophisticated yet fresh. Young yet retro. A home that is functional and beautiful. Isn’t that what we all want? Cool interiors by St Louis, Missouri based CURE Design Group.

It’s been several months since Jo blogged (twice) the sublime photography of Swedish photograher Idha Lindhag, so I thought her work was totally worthy of a revisit. Fabulousness. And my next post later today features my favourites from Idha’s portfolio so stay tuned!

Stalking old and new

Posted on Thu, 29 Nov 2012 by midcenturyjo

What happens when old meets new? I’m still real estate stalking. South Yarra in Melbourne to be exact. An iron lace confection in stately grounds. High Victorian decoration meets eames chairs. At the rear a modern extension of metal and glass, timber and marble. Mid century classics and sleek lines. Does it do it for you? Do you have several million? For sale of course. Link here while it lasts.
