Hanne Fuglbjerg

I have some simple, beautiful photos from the portfolio of Swedish photographer Hanne Fuglbjerg for you to enjoy. Anyone else want to find a thrift store stool and dip the legs in fluro paint? I’m SO not over this trend yet.

Monday’s pets on furniture

Posted on Mon, 3 Jun 2013 by KiM

If you’d like to send me photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it’s dark or fuzzy then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.comand PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet! Thanks!

Winslow (6) and Theodore (11 weeks), both golden retrievers, sit together after a romp in the ocean in arch cape, or.  Winslow would never dream of resting on the ground and our new puppy mirrors everything he does!
Big golden and little golden napping on furniture.

Here is a picture of Penelope the almost 2 year old toy poodle sitting on my new-to-me mid-century modern ottoman.  She loves to photo-bomb pictures I take for my blog!
Sarah (Washington, DC)

Here’s Roxie claiming her spot on the antique dresser that my boyfriend and I recently refinished… and then re-distressed.
– Andrea (Glen Ellyn, IL)

This is my boy Dooley who didn’t mind finding a thrift store accordian on his favorite chair from Ikea, he fell asleep on it anyway. Dooely just passed away this last weekend and is sorely missed.
Here is Bunny sitting on a mid-century chair I got for free from my boss.
– Dana (Tuscon, AZ)

Mini’s decided the Cesca chair makes for some good porch naps.
– Heather (Atlanta)

Here are my dogs Milo (jack Russell) and Percy (beagle) and a cameo from Mr.Frost the strange Siamese cat. They provide us with endless entertainment!!!
– Saffy

Brando is enjoying the softness of the microsuede on the chair arm.
Wing back chairs are sooo cozy!

– Patricia (Portland, Oregon)

The picture is of Butus relaxing on my bed. It seems he much prefers it to his.
– Liz (Utah)

This is Bandit our long haired chihuhua this was his grammy’s chair and now is his… he waits patiently here till we are done with dinner so he can have his evening snack.  Its now known at our house as Bandit’s chair
– Maritza (Florida)

These are my little babies! White one is a girl whose name is Frosty and the grey one is a boy who goes by Babu! We’re from Bombay and this them begging me to stay home and not go to work!
– Sanya

This is my sister’s new puppy enjoying their new couch. Skippy loves to burrow among the pillows but he posed nicely for this shot!
– Cheryl

This first shot is what I call “You stay on YOUR side and I’ll stay on MINE!”  It features my puggle named Tipper and my shepherd-mix named Dash.
This next picture is Tipper and Dash again, along with my chihuahua-mix named Shooter, who is on the floor like a DOG.  (As in: if my wife rescues one more dog; I’m going to shoot her!)
This picture is of my shepherd-pitbull mix named Shadow, and good old Tipper again!
This one is of Tipper with a shepherd-mix rescue named Darby.  She is Shadow’s mom and was pregnant when I rescued her.
Last one.  I promise!  I took this next picture to show my best friend my new bedding.  Shooter just HAD to be in it!
– Val (Bend, OR)

I have attached a picture of my handsome 3yr old, blue- eyed, miniature dapple dachshund, Cornelius! I was moving furniture around in the living room to vacuum when he jumped up on my leather couch onto a pillow and made himself comfy while I cleaned. With his crossed paws and his name tag facing the correct way, it made it picture perfect.

Chiswick

Posted on Mon, 3 Jun 2013 by midcenturyjo

I don’t want to work today. I want to be here. Chiswick, co-owned and operated by Matt Moran and Peter Sullivan and designed by Humphrey + Edwards. Perhaps lunch. One of those long, slightly disgraceful lunches that extends into dinner and rolls a little tipsy into a taxi. Couldn’t think of a better way to spend a work day. Join me?

Very much

The morning draws on. The muffled thrum of a neighbour’s lawn mower provides the base note to the batting rhythm of a moth against the large window. There is someone somewhere in the house. A staccato of heels, the shudder of an old water pipe. A waft of coffee brewing. It cuts across the scent of gladioli. It is peaceful here. Beautiful. So beautiful. Time hangs still between the slow tock of an old clock. “Do you like my old house?” I turn with a smile and answer her. “Yes. Oh yes, very much.”

A lovely home via jj Locations.
