Summer Thornton encore

Is it really five years since we were introduced to the work of Summer Thornton on Desire to Inspire? As is my habit I’ll skip back and forward through our archives and click over to websites to see what the designers and photographers, stylists and architects have been up to since we last visited. Imagine the smile that spread across my face when I revisited Summer Thornton Design and discovered her take on the bachelor pad. Masculine and multilayered, elegant yet casual when needed. A touch of humour and bucket loads of style.

Jared Hayden says:

Love the casement windows. It's definitely a "bachelor's pad", but I think it's also safe to say the dude has some serious bucks!

oh holland says:

Ugh. Dead heads among cliche design choices.

oregonbird says:

The rough materials and monolithic choices in furniture and deco are pretty stunning, layered in with the sweet touches of country elegance. I like that simplicity of form was given front and center; cane chairs, steel windows, benches. There's definitely a 'royalty at rest' feel to this, there must be Savile Row suits waiting to be activated in the dressing room.

JB says:

Hi, looks great, are those metal frame doors from Crittall??
Cheers
