Inside Out

I’m always excited when I see an email from Inside Out magazine’s managing editor Lee Tran Lam. It means that the latest issue is about to hit the stands and that we are getting a sneak peek at one of the homes within the cover. And what a home! Be still my heart. Here’s what Lee Tran had to say.

This home belongs to interior stylist and buyer Karen Kelly Tarasin – built in the style of architect Harry Seidler, her house cleverly matches the modernist feel with lots of era–evoking items. There are even “ancient” stools in the kitchen that are so comfortable that – when Karen tries to bring in any additional seating – her kids make her return any possible replacements. Karen has also worked for Vampt Vintage Design and Mark Tuckey, so she’s got a solid background in casting her eye over furniture that best suits a space.

There’s more info in the story, by Lynne Testoni, styled by Claire Delmar and photographed by Prue Ruscoe.

I don’t know about you but I’m packing my bags and moving in. I say that on a regular basis but this time it is no idle threat. Aussie readers can pick up their copy of the May/June Inside Out on Thursday. Don’t fret if you aren’t in Australia because you can read along on  ZinioGoogle Play and the Apple Newsstand.

Incredibly stunning home! The detail surrounding the fireplace is amazing. Love it all.

Love that kitchen!
