The Carriage House

Bucolic bliss with just the slightest touch of boho in Bedford, NY by Virginia Tupker Interiors. Tupkert, who has worked for House & Garden, Vogue and Vogue Living has a passion for textiles which she uses deftly as a counterfoil to the rustic stone and old boards in this old carriage house. It’s rough yet refined, cosy yet chic. The perfect country getaway without the country kitsch.

An old stone home or barn can stop me in my tracks (or car). I’m astounded by the work and craftsmanship necessary to construct them. Sometimes I run across one that was built by a true masonry artist with stones placed so beautifully that his creation is still being admired decades later. Thank you for sharing.
