Montréal and New York based designer Garrow Kedigian hates white interiors, and therefore I love him. I featured his Montréal townhouse several years ago and it was evident then colours were his thing, but as time passed it has become more and more evident he reigns over colour like not many others. Case in point, this Upper East Side apartment that is awash in mostly shades of blue and have fun accent colours like a large orange sectional. Kudos for Garrow making such a splash with this project. Photos: Trevor Parker.
We all do it especially on blogs like this. We live vicariously, daydreaming about moving into fabulous homes. I sooooooo want to move into this Soho apartment by Jessica Schuster. Of course it’s her own. Sophisticated, eclectic and for me perfect.
It’s the understanding of space and structure that sets this 70 m2 apartment in Marais, Paris apart from your usual cookie-cutter small space design. A spiral staircase may save space and allow sight lines but why have something pedestrian? Make it a monumental one. It’s an upward spiral, a strong design statement. When I stumbled upon this majestic home for sale in a small town in the south of France called Cintegabelle, my heart skipped a beat. This is what I have been dreaming about for many years. A home that is historic, with modern touches throughout where the 2 blend so beautifully and effortlessly. Add in an orangerie with massive columns, the beautifully landscaped grounds and access to a river and it quite literally my idea of heaven. Listing via Selection Habitat.
It’s like I say week in week out. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s super stylish. There’s nothing more stylish than a designer’s own studio. New Studio by Cobalto.
