This kitchen was included in a recent feature in Real Living magazine – part of the home of a fashion designer and her family. When they renovated the kitchen, new cabinets were installed in an island-style layout since the kitchen is in the middle of the living space. GENIUS!

The homeowners aren’t fans of TVs being a focal point so they had the TV built into the back of the island. Once again, GENIUS!

It’s been a while since we visited the projects of interior designer Shawn Henderson, and I recently discovered that he has some new work on his website that I had to share. Still a big fan of his sense of scale and netutral colour palette, his kids rooms are alot of fun and I see he’s still a big fan of Wegner’s Papa Bear chair (oh, to own one of those…). The first 10 or so photos are of a sweet central park pad. *sigh*

It’s been quite some time since I blogged about LA based interior designer Schuyler Samperton. She’s been busy lately, having designed the fabulous home of model Carolyn Murphy that is featured in the March issue of Vogue. Her work continues to impress, and she still isn’t afraid of colour which I love about her. Such cozy spaces that are unassumingly gorgeous. (My favourite space is at the end – bookmarking that one!!!)

OMG. I have a bunch of cats that would go ballistic for this climbing wall structure.

My brother-in-law sent me a great link from Treehugger (via Contemporist) to a brilliant way to hide a bed away when dealing with a small space. Point Architecture (based in Torino, Italy) hid a bed in a drawer-like space in the living room, creating sleeping quarters for the owners so their children could have the only bedroom in the apartment. This look so much easier to deal with than a Murphy bed.

It’s been about 3 looong years since I blogged about the architecture and interior design firm of Ashe + Leandro. Their spaces were energizing and eclectic back then and they sure haven’t deviated from their funky style that I love since. To my delight, I found a bunch of new projects on their site – here are some of my favourite rooms.
