Yond Cottage

Perched on the shores of Lake Superior, Yond Cottage is an expression of everything our studio loves. Influenced by nature and designed to be a launchpoint for adventures, Yond Cottage was made for you. Yond Cottage is available for short term rental.
Located in scenic Schroeder, MN, this is cottage living with the coziest, coolest vibes. I love all the warm and muted colours and abundance of textures and materials. Designed by Yond Interiors. Architect: ACDC Studio. Photos: Erin Little.

“I want no white walls.” With those five words, Kati Curtis Design had its Tudor home interior design directive and began the process of gathering ideas + inspiration. Since we’re known as the go-to interior designers for color and pattern, those words also served as confirmation that we and our client were perfectly in synch. With that, a happy collaboration took off in this “Millennial Gothic” home, a modern take on the house’s original Tudor interior design style.
There is a lot going on in this home and I know now everyone could live with so much going on but I had to share for those that dream of having this much colour and pattern (and glossy finishes) in their lives. Life’s too short to not go for it, right?

A 13th century French renaissance château

This beautiful property boasts beautiful high Gascon towers with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and towards the Pyrenees in the distance. Surrounded by beautiful formal gardens and an array of wonderful outbuildings including a two-storey gatehouse, a magnificent pigeonnier, and an orangery. The chateau and its gardens have been sensitively enhanced and improved over the last years by the present owners, to preserve the original features and retain the historic atmosphere with a potential of 7 bedrooms. The earliest parts of the Chateau date to circa 1280 with additions having been made later into the 16th Century. Historic features include thick walls made from the local limestone, a wonderful stone staircase, and fabulous exposed ceilings and fireplaces. Set in some 7 hectares of grounds including a large walnut orchard which has the potential to be replanted as a vineyard.
I am about to sign on the dotted line for this one….. I am joking but wish I wasn’t. This one is a stunner. Located in Nerac, Lot-et-Garonne, Aquitaine and for sale for €1,740,000 via Knight Frank.

Briony Delves and Graham Paull from Society of Wanderers and Sunday Sailor created rental accommodations from this 1980s home in Torquay, Victoria and played up the 80s vibe with help from interior designer Amelda Wilde. Amber glazing, tiled countertops, cork wall, graphic wallpaper, colourfully tiled bathrooms and cozy furniture make for a pretty sweet place to stay. Photos: Cricket Studio.

It’s that simple

Sometimes a home just needs a simple, relaxed and minimal take on its interior. After hours of searching for content for this blog when I come across something like this, it is so refreshing and calming. A colonial home in Westchester, NY by Studio Dorion.
