I strive to find unique spaces to share on this blog of ours because I feel like the design world can be over-saturated with the same styles. Trends are not my thing. When I came across creator and designer Valentin Loellman, from Maastricht, The Netherlands, I was very much intrigued by his vision. The first series of photos I’m sharing are of his studio’s loft. Dear gawd, is this what heaven looks like?!

The following photos are randomly selected from some other spaces Valentin has designed that caught my eye.

If you would like to participate in the Monday’s pets on furniture series please send photos, your name, location and a brief description to kim[at]desiretoinspire[dot]net, or hashtag your photos on Instagram with #dtipetsonfurniture. Thanks!

Thought I would share a photo of my Buxus’ first outing after his surgery…I am very happy that he’s helping me find inspiration for a 1948/1970 bathroom reno!

And one from me. Milo loves jumping on this antique stitched stool and scratching his nails on it. It was inexpensive so I let him. He’s one lucky cat. It’s about the only thing in the house that’s not a scratching post I will let them use as one.

Continuing to spread my love of London’s mass of delicious Victorian homes with this renovated beauty via Shoot Factory. I do love the decor throughout this home, and though I love a mix of periods, I can’t help but think the homeowners should have stuck with a more traditional vibe throughout. Regardless, I am smitten.

If you’ve been following our blog a while you’ll know Jo and I love church conversions. This 12,000 sq ft church in Mountain Town, Colorado was converted into a family vacation home and is another project by designer Kimille Taylor. A more subdued colour palette here, and while also eclectic, it’s a bit less drastic. Even toned down a few notches from her own space, this home is an absolute stunner!

The Upper West Side apartment of designer Kimille Taylor serves as her laboratory. She went all out with some bold colours, and furnishings ranging from super traditional to ultra modern. I will get behind such a random/eclectic mix every single time. Attention-grabbing design at its finest.
