I will always be a fan of mid-century style homes. Their open concept, angled ceilings and large windows make for such dramatic spaces. This home was built in 1955 and had never been renovated. Mark Ashby Design and Rick +Cindy Black Architects worked together to bring this home back to life, adding terrazzo floors throughout, redesigned the kitchen + sunken den + bathrooms and added a bathing sunroom.

What do you get when you pair a modern white loft in Seville, Spain with a designer who has a passion for 17th to 19th century decor? An unexpected clash of styles that is quite dramatic. By Amaro Sánchez de Moya.

We don’t typically post renderings but when it’s this fabulous I’m making an exception. Utkan Gunerkan is an Istanbul-born architect based in Milan, Italy, and this bathroom and kitchen are for projects in Puerto Vallarta, my favourite place on earth. They are SO much fun and graphic and creative. If I could make these come true in my home I’d die. And I think it was meant to be seeing as I just replaced my dining room chandelier with one that is turquoise, a colour I never use.

I spotted this home on AD Russia and it stopped me in my tracks. Ukrainian architect Sergey Makhno built this home for his family, to showcase his love of Ukranian and Japanese design, and his incredible ceramic collection. Each room is more incredible than the next. I adore this.
