As promised yesterday I’m stalking the other half of a warehouse in Melbourne’s Collingwood. What a difference! Yesterday’s conversion was modern industrial. Today’s is a mix of traditional, eclectic, a touch of industrial meets country kitchen and a whole lot of designer loft. Not surprisingly it is the studio of interior designer Diane Bergeron. Part design studio, part client showroom, part inner city pad. And it has that ceiling high bookcase that is featured on thousand upon thousands of Pinterest boards. It sold last month for $1.8 million. Link here while it lasts.

Here are some pics for your Monday pets on furniture. The calico is Emerald in several poses in the kitchen and on the dining rm table, Harry the ginger stretched across our bed and Cheepie our love bird on the Spanish dancer in our daughters bedroom.

Our beloved Memphis (18 years young!)

This is my cat Buster looking cute in an attempt to get fed a second dinner. It almost worked!

This my kitten “Freddy”.

A couple from me…a snuggle pile on my bed (semi-feral Frankie, Mimin and Phoebe) and new foster Siamese Moss snoozing on his favourite chair.

Stalking concrete blocks

Posted on Mon, 29 May 2017 by KiM

I’m in Collingwood an inner-city suburb of Melbourne and I’m stalking one half of an old concrete block warehouse. Inside it’s soaring ceilings and white walls, black steel windows and open spaces. From the mix of mid century and contemporary furniture to the striking artwork it’s the quintessential industrial meets modern living conversion. It appears that’s it is being used as a commercial premises and I’m stratching my head as to where I’d put the bed. You must view the listing video and leave your critique of the acting in the comments. Link here while it lasts.

P.S. Stayed tuned for tomorrow’s post on the other half of this building. A completely different take on the space.

Oh, to have such a space where in one afternoon you can totally rearrange everything you own. The joys of living in lofts and conversions. This 1935 former school canteen/science lab/art department in the U.K. is an incredible space – 2,000 sq ft arranged over two floors, plus a 1,000 sq ft roof terrace featuring to-die-for steel windows throughout and equally to-die-for original pine herringbone flooring. Available as a location space via Shoot Factory
